The Second Timeline of the Museum Basement

By Prashant Mishra

Samar Joshi arrives in Nagpur for a six-week bookselling assignment and expects nothing more than dusty shelves and quiet evenings. Then a face flickers in the background of a celebrity livestream, a face that belongs to someone officially missing, and Samar's careful life begins to unravel. Pulled into an investigation with a classmate who runs an anonymous gossip account, Samar follows a child's hand-drawn map into the hidden foundations of a family empire built on forged land records, while an unknown voice online predicts every move they make before they make it. In a world where fandom turns private betrayal into public spectacle before the betrayed even understand what happened, the real question is not who lied first but who pays the price for finally being believed.
