The Friend Who Stayed Silent at Platform Nine This Monsoon

By Prashant Mishra

When twenty-one-year-old investigative researcher Vihaan Malhotra finds a hidden camera feed inside a second-hand phone in the crumbling old quarter of Lucknow, he is pulled into a conspiracy older than his career and sharper than any viral rumor. An ex-best friend who left without explanation returns with answers that rewrite the neighborhood's shared memory of one catastrophic monsoon night. But as a coordinated lie unravels across social media faster than Vihaan can contain it, and a copycat incident makes the original story impossible to believe, he must decide whether belonging to the truth is worth losing everything he built. In a city where a stolen tattoo is the last real clue and the person everyone mourned never actually died, the most dangerous upload is the one that has not been made yet.
