When twenty-one-year-old heritage conservator Dhruv Sethi realises a viral campus legend maps perfectly onto an unsolved disappearance in the crumbling old quarter of Lucknow, he knows that facts can be edited the way plaster hides cracked stone. His ex-best friend reappears with answers that cost too much to be free, and a charity's missing funds begin to look like the architecture of silence. In a city where the public narrative refreshes faster than the truth, Dhruv must decide how much he is willing to conceal about the person he loves before the wrong date on a real crime buries them both.
