When eighteen-year-old game designer Avni Kulkarni arrives at a celebrated artists colony in Kochi for a scholarship residency, she is mistaken for a witness who disappeared eight years ago, and suddenly the colony's beloved ghost story looks like a cover-up built on greed. Teaming up with a brooding musician whose missing parent sits at the heart of the mystery, Avni peels back layer after layer of institutional loyalty, secret society rituals, and carefully maintained silence. But the closer she gets to the truth, the more the colony closes ranks, and when a convenient engagement is announced to bury the scandal for good, Avni must decide how far she is willing to go to stop a lie from outliving everyone it has already destroyed.
