Our Alibi Was Trending: A Digital Alibi During the Rains the North Hostel

By Prashant Mishra

When Varanasi food blogger Riya Menon receives a voice note timestamped three days after its sender died, she is pulled into a conspiracy that reaches from the rain-soaked lanes of her crowded neighbourhood all the way into the rigged heart of a championship final. Alongside a quiet neighbour who holds access to restricted records, Riya races to expose manipulated betting results before a sealed deal erases every trace of the truth. But the investigation is shadowed by withheld secrets, impossible room echoes in the voice messages, and the unfinished documentary her deceased parent left behind. With a live public event as her only window, Riya must decide how much she is willing to lose before the case is closed forever.
