Inside the Seventh Voice Note

By Adeeba Rashid

Yuvan Bhat has built a careful life as a game designer in a Bengaluru startup campus, avoiding the questions that ended an old friendship. At 19, that restraint collapses when Yuvan is named as beneficiary in the will of someone they never met. The return of a musician whose missing parent started the mystery makes the search both intimate and unreliable. Their evidence suggests that a supposedly spontaneous romance was designed as a marketing campaign. Then a powerful sponsor threatens everyone’s livelihood. To protect the wrongfully accused, Yuvan may have to trade the truth for someone else’s safety. The clue hidden in a tattoo copied from an evidence photograph proves that solving the mystery forces the protagonist to reveal a secret more damaging than the crime. Meanwhile, the protagonist must coach a teenager facing suspension, while funding will vanish if the scandal becomes public.
