Inside the Paper Witness

By Adeeba Rashid

Zain Merchant designs games for a living, but the puzzle stitched inside a vintage jacket is nothing like the ones he builds. When a police evidence label surfaces in the lining of a secondhand coat, Zain is pulled back into the wreckage of a broken friendship and toward a colleague whose loyalty may be a performance. Set inside the pressured corridors of a Pune medical college, Inside the Paper Witness is a dark, coiled thriller about what we owe the people who once betrayed us, and how far we will go to prove a crime that everyone has agreed to forget.
