Inside the Night Train List

By Prashant Mishra

When student filmmaker Zain Merchant finds a police evidence label stitched inside a vintage jacket on a Bengaluru startup campus, he pulls a thread that unravels a charity scandal, a witness intimidation network, and a betrayal broadcast to millions before he even understands what he has found. Partnered with an anonymous classmate whose gossip account seems one step ahead of every move, Zain races through a city that hides its worst crimes in plain sight, guided only by a child's hand-drawn map and a rescued dog that refuses to leave the one witness who will not speak. Fame, fandom, and the ruthless economy of online exposure turn every private secret into public spectacle, and the person Zain most wants to protect may be the one who cannot be saved.
