Inside the Missing Floor

By Adeeba Rashid

When documentary editor Rohan Sen checks into Jaipur's crumbling Haveli Surya and finds a hidden camera feed on a second-hand phone, he expects a story. What he finds instead is a missing person living under a false name, a colleague whose loyalties shift like old floorboards, and a powerful sponsor willing to bury anyone who gets close to the truth. As Rohan catalogues the ruins of a demolished house and chases a tattoo copied from a stolen photograph, he must decide whether solving the mystery is worth the secret it will force him to confess. In this tightly coiled domestic suspense, the most dangerous room is the one everyone agreed to forget.
