Inside the Closed Bookshop

By Prashant Mishra

When a photograph from a night she cannot remember surfaces online, twenty-year-old music manager Meher Khan is pulled into a web of buried records, erased settlements, and dangerous silences in a Bhopal railway colony. A quiet neighbour with access to restricted files becomes her reluctant ally, and together they uncover how a property developer has scrubbed an entire community from official maps. But proof is dangerously thin, loyalties are fractured across two families who have each been hiding half the truth, and a very public event is about to become the stage for the next threat. Meher must decide how much of herself she is willing to confess before the story consumes everything she has left to protect.
