Behind the Silent Livestream

By Prashant Mishra

When eighteen-year-old cybersecurity analyst Maya Thomas receives a voice note timestamped three days after its sender died, she is pulled into the rotting heart of Kolkata's fading cinema district, where ghost stories are weaponized and data disappears on command. Racing against a case closure that smells like a burial, Maya and her younger sibling Rohan decode marginal notes hidden inside donated novels, only to discover that the town's most beloved haunting was manufactured to drive tenants off land worth millions. With evidence vanishing from official servers and a live public event counting down, Maya must choose between the family duty that brought her home and the dangerous truth that could free an entire neighbourhood before it is bulldozed into silence.
