After the Unsent Invitation

By Adeeba Rashid

When twenty-one-year-old podcast producer Rizwan Mirza spots a childhood photograph inside a stranger's missing-person appeal on the crumbling walls of Lucknow's old quarter, he is pulled into a conspiracy that stretches from a shadowed hospital corridor to a viral social media storm. His ex-best friend, the one person who knows why they both fled this city, resurfaces with suspicious eagerness to help, and the investigation begins to feel less like a search and more like a trap. As unclaimed courier parcels pile up and a public narrative rewrites itself faster than Rizwan can verify a single fact, he must decide whether the lie that started everything was meant to bury the truth or to finally set it free. After the Unsent Invitation is a dark, propulsive thriller about betrayal, parasocial obsession, and the terrifying speed at which a reputation can be built, broken, and weaponized.
