After the Final Rehearsal

By Adeeba Rashid

Harsh Venkataraman came to the border town of Attari to photograph other people's happiness and ask no questions about his own past. When a secondhand phone reveals a hidden camera feed inside a wedding venue, Harsh is pulled into a search for a missing person who may never have been missing at all. The colleague who returns to help him may be the very person feeding secrets to the wrong side, and every photograph Harsh has ever taken suddenly becomes evidence. In a town where the border is both a line on a map and a way of thinking, the cost of being believed may be higher than either of them can pay.
