After the Empty Hostel Room

By Prashant Mishra

When student filmmaker Kunal Roy notices that a campus ghost story matches an unsolved disappearance tied to an old apartment block in Nagpur, he starts pulling at a thread that unravels surveillance, betrayal, and a wellness app quietly selling intimate voice recordings to the highest bidder. His uneasy alliance with a guarded musician whose missing parent haunts the case pushes the investigation forward until a friend is arrested on evidence Kunal himself uncovered. With a tattoo copied from a crime scene photograph as his only remaining lead, Kunal must decide how much of himself he is willing to burn before the truth surfaces, and whether the person everyone mourned ever truly disappeared at all.
