After the Deleted Hour

By Prashant Mishra

When Aisha Anand, a theatre understudy drifting through the salt-heavy air of a Goa coastal town, discovers a coded correction repeated across library books, she is pulled into a years-old story that the town buried as gossip. Alongside a musician haunted by his parent's disappearance, she uncovers evidence that a celebrated rescue was staged to hide an accidental death, but the proof keeps shifting shape beneath her hands. As a sealed deal threatens to erase the truth forever, Aisha must decide whether the danger closing in around her is real, misremembered, or something someone very close to her has carefully built. After the Deleted Hour is a dark, suffocating thriller about identity, manufactured memory, and the terrifying cost of a lie the whole community agreed to keep.
