A Version of the Truth: A Campus Secret During the Rains

By Adeeba Rashid

When data scientist Kunal Roy recognizes a childhood face in a missing-person appeal pinned to the lobby board of a Jaipur heritage hotel, he pulls on a thread that begins to unravel everyone around him. Trapped by monsoon rains with a colleague whose loyalties are impossible to read, Kunal discovers that a romance he witnessed was engineered, a crime he can prove happened on the wrong date, and a source who refuses to stay hidden no matter the cost. In a house full of people who remember the same night differently, the hardest question is not who is guilty but whether love can survive the truth it tried to bury.
