A Version of the Truth: A Campus Secret at First Light the Residency Gate

By Prashant Mishra

When game designer Aisha Anand finds a transit card logging journeys no one admits to making, she begins pulling at a thread that unravels the celebrated rescue story her rain-soaked Mumbai neighbourhood has accepted as gospel. Working with a guarded neighbour who holds access to restricted records, Aisha uncovers a staged heroism that was built over an accidental death, only to have her credibility obliterated by a manipulated video before she can go public. With incomplete evidence, a source who refuses to hide, and the chilling realization that the supposed victim may have been orchestrating the investigation all along, Aisha must decide how much truth an innocent person can afford to survive.
