A Version of the Truth: A Campus Secret Again

By Adeeba Rashid

When 22-year-old podcast producer Tara Iyer receives an anonymous parcel containing tomorrow's newspaper proof, she is pulled into a disappearance that the elite institution inside Gurugram's most guarded gated township desperately wants buried. A grieving musician whose missing parent started the whole mystery becomes her only ally, but the closer they grow, the more dangerous their secrets become to each other. Hidden inside a beloved song's master recording is a distress signal that points toward a conspiracy far larger than one missing student, and the institution will silence anyone who listens too carefully. Tara must decide whether protecting the truth is worth losing the only person willing to stand beside her when the case is finally, permanently closed.
